April 23-25, 2009: “The Best Play You’ve Ever Seen (Seriously)” will be showing for 3 nights in Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount. It is tentatively being held on Foley patio, but location may be changed, so check back here for further details. It is an evening of 3 one-acts written by yours truly: “youPhone,” “Gate 48B,” and “Turtle Love Song: An Epitaph” (world premiere!). Michelle is directing “Gate 48B” and Orchid Taira is directing the other two shows. Michelle is also playing the lead character, Robin, in “Turtle Love Song.” So if you enjoy her writing, acting, or directing, you should definitely come check it out! Even if you don’t…you should come! Shows are free, but get there early to get a seat! And in regards to the title…yes it is the best play you’ve ever seen….but which of the three is it? Come and figure it out for yourself!
April 30- May 2, 2009: Two of my one-acts will be playing as part of Ursuline Academy’s “Theatre 4 presents: Senior One-Acts”. It will be the second production of “Turtle Love Song: An Epitaph,” and the world premiere of “The Flats: The Real SoCal,” the first of many scripts co-authored by Barrett Johnston and myself. So if you’re in the Dallas area, go check it out!
May 11, 2009: “youPhone” will be making its NY debut at the American Globe as part of its annual 15-minute Play Festival. It is directed by Orchid Taira. Additional dates may be added. Check back here for more updates.
That’s it for now, folks! More to come soon….
